Member Types

Members in Hamlet are grouped into 3 types

  • Local: A full-time person or company paying monthly for occupancy within a space.
  • Virtual: A person or company paying monthly for a virtual address and may or may not attend/use a space.
  • Casual: A person or company that uses your space on a drop-in or pay-as-you-go basis.

Membership levels

Membership levels are attached to a Member Type and are used to automatically assign accounts a set of defined credits or discounts. These is often referred to as Membership Tiers in some spaces.

Membership levels can be set up to suit your space's offering, and we suggest less is more, so that management is easier.

Membership level controls are:

  • Meeting room discount: an amount of discount to apply to all bookings.
  • Meeting room credit: hour-based credit amount with a monthly expiry/regeneration to attach to the member's account.
  • Pass Credit: day-based credit amount with a monthly expiry/regeneration to attach to the member's account.

An example of Membership levels could be

  • Premium: 4 hours meeting room credit + 50% off meeting rooms.
  • Plus: 2 hours meeting room credit + 30% off meeting rooms.
  • Standard: No credit or discounts on rooms.
